Our Team

HEAR has a completely volunteer run board. Meet our passionate team members below!

Suzy Kramer- Board Member, President

Growing up we always had a dog, cat, bird or something that was not human living in our house. After I married Mike we headed west- to conquer the final frontier so to speak- we both grew up in Chicago and dreamed about the wide open spaces. Getting involved in Animal Rescue was not a big leap- prior to volunteering for Happy Endings AR I worked in “Breed “ Rescue, meaning working to re-home a specific breed of dog (Vizslas).

The County and City have their animal control departments. Happy Endings Animal Rescue fills a void for families in Sublette County by providing an educated and humane choice to re -home a pet that they can no longer keep when necessary. There have been times when it’s been so rewarding, and times when you just want to cry. The rewarding times outweigh the sad times and just seeing a dog or cat happy in their new home makes it all worthwhile!

Jen Davis- Board Member, Treasurer

My name is Jen Davis, I have been involved with Happy Endings Animal Rescue since 2016. I started as a volunteer and have since become the Treasurer on the Board of Directors. When I am not working as a Real Estate Agent, my focus is on the rescue and what can be done to help the animals of Sublette County.

I grew up with a love for all types of animals ~ as an adult, I have focused my attention on homeless, neglected and abused animals who are in search of a loving home. Unfortunately, our country is overpopulated with unwanted animals and we have yet to establish the necessary laws to protect them.

I am currently a mom to 4 beautiful doggies; my life would not be the same without any of them including the ones I have lost over the years.

I can only hope we (H.E.A.R) in the upcoming future can provide a facility of our own in hopes of providing safe housing to the animals of Sublette County.

Contact Jess if interested in becoming a HEAR foster!

Jess grew up a state over in Nebraska and moved to Sublette County 5 years ago with her husband Alex and beloved furry family. Jess has grown up with dogs, cats and variety of other animals her entire life and finds great joy in helping to bring animals and people together in a mutually beneficial way. Helping homeless animals find their forever in this community has been a great passion since she joined the HEAR board in 2017. She and her husband have adopted two senior dogs from HEAR over the last few years and always love helping out those animals that are easily overlooked. Jess and Alex spend time hiking, biking and skiing in the mountains with their dogs.

Susan Stringfellow- Board Member, Vice President

For as long as she can remember Susan has always been an animal person, passionate about helping animals in need. Growing up in rural East Texas it was not uncommon for Susan, or her brothers, to show up at home with a dog or cat that had been dumped on the side of the road. She was raised in a family that has a huge amount of respect for the animal world, and she is forever grateful for that upbringing. Susan left Texas for a new opportunity managing a ski and snowboard store in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. It was there she met Mitch, who convinced her to move to Pinedale in 2009. She first became aware of HEAR when she saw a post on the rescue’s Facebook page asking for someone to foster a dog named Bailey. While Bailey went on to find her forever home, Earl and Nellie would become foster failures for Susan, Mitch and their Pointer sister, Izzie. As a family they all enjoy skiing, snowmaching, camping, mountain biking, hiking, drifting the river and fly fishing, and of course the amazing Wyoming summers.

Terry Keys- Board Member, Creature Comforts Owner

Joanne Bradow- Board Member

Ann Evenson-McNerney - Board Member

My name is Ann McNerney and I was recently elected to the board of H.E.A.R. I have lived in Wyoming for 26 years… 5 in Lander and 21 years in Pinedale. I am originally from a northern suburb of Chicago. I am an RN, now since retired. I had a very successful career as a woman’s health nurse. Working with chiefs and assistant chiefs of women’s health departments from the major medical universities in Chicago . I decided to leave that part of my life and move to Wyoming.
I have always had dogs and cats growing up. In fact I bought my standard poodle, Raisin, with me to Wyoming. Needless to say he fit in well with the ranching dogs except for the “hair style”.
I met Susan Kramer and her husband when working at our local nursing home. Our paths crossed on several occasions since then. I was aware Susan had started Happy Endings. I have one of the rescues from this organization. I became Interested in this organization and have volunteered on fund raising events. I have truely believed in and enjoy being a part of this wonderful organization!!! There is such a strong need for what Happy Ending does not only in this county but in many states.
I have 2 rescue dogs and a rescue horse.

Stephanie Crozier- Board Member

Hello, my name is Stephanie Crozier. In April of 2018 I received an email from Jennifer Davis who is a dear friend and on the Happy Ending Animal Rescue board. They were looking for a foster or forever home for 6 puppies. These puppies where being transferred from a kill shelter in another state.  That is when I fell in love with my big boy Drake (Adopted May 2018) and Happy Ending Animal Rescue.

I started volunteering, caring for the animals they rescued, helping at fundraising events, and now I also help with social media (Facebook & Petfinder).  It is a great way to give back to the community and save our fury friends.

Drake needed a buddy, and another puppy needed a home. Oliver was adopted from Happy Endings in July 2020.
